Terms of booking
Last updated: October 2026
These terms apply when you use this website and book a stay through it. By creating an account or making a booking you agree to them. The site is run by [your business name] ("StayVia"), a company registered in India.
Who you are booking with
- StayVia is an online marketplace. Each stay is supplied by the hotel or property named on its page, with its legal name, address and (in India) GSTIN. Your contract for the stay is with that hotel.
- StayVia is the hotel's booking agent: we take your booking and your payment on the hotel's behalf. Your booking receipt is issued in the hotel's name; the hotel charges GST on the room and gives you its own tax invoice. StayVia issues its own tax invoice for the service fee.
Bookings and prices
- A booking is confirmed when you see the confirmation, and we email you. If card payment is switched on, a booking is confirmed once your payment succeeds; the dates are held for 30 minutes while you pay.
- Prices are charged in Indian rupees (INR). The price shown at checkout is the full price: it includes the hotel's taxes and StayVia's service fee, and nothing is added afterwards. Other currencies shown on the site are estimates at the day's exchange rate.
- When an offer shows a "was" price, it is the stay's own regular price for the same nights. We don't use made-up reference prices. Next to every discount we also show the lowest price those nights were offered at in the previous 30 days.
- You must give accurate details, be 18 or over, and keep to the guest numbers and house rules of the property.
How we order stays
Search results are ordered by the sort you choose: StayVia Curated (the default) lists stays in the order they joined our collection; Price lists the lowest nightly price for your dates first; Guest rating lists the highest average rating from verified stays first. Filters you pick (dates, price, amenities, offers) decide which stays appear. Hotels cannot pay for a higher place. Offers are labelled "Offer"; if we ever show paid placements they will be labelled "Sponsored".
Cancellations and refunds
See Cancellations & refunds. It forms part of these terms.
Your account
Keep your sign-in codes and password private. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. We may suspend accounts that are used to abuse the site, hotels or other guests.
Elite membership
Elite members receive the member discount shown on the site on nightly rates. We may change or end the offer for future bookings; bookings already made keep the price they were made at.
Reviews
Only guests who have completed a stay can review it. Reviews must be honest and respectful. We publish negative reviews as well as positive ones, and only remove reviews that are abusive, unlawful or not about the stay.
Complaints
Tell our Grievance Officer through the Complaints page. We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and answer within one month. You can also contact the National Consumer Helpline (1915).
Our responsibility
We take care to describe stays accurately, but the stay and the hotel's own services are provided by the hotel. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other law that cannot be excluded. Subject to that, our liability to you for a booking is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes go to the courts at the place of our registered office, without affecting your right to complain to a consumer commission where you live.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and changes do not affect bookings already made. Contact: [your contact email]
